Signal Processing Engineer II – Onsite – Tucson, AZ
Raytheon is seeking a Systems Engineer II for our Tucson, AZ location. The role is 100% on‑site and requires an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
Responsibilities- Support development, execution, and completion of RF or EO/IR signal processing objectives.
- Test, verify, and validate algorithms and models in engineering labs.
- Drive performance improvements and resolve system issues in collaboration across functions.
- Integrate algorithms into tactical system hardware and software, evaluating functionality and impact.
- Conduct trade studies, present results to stakeholders, and deliver trade‑study documentation.
- Perform data analysis, use simulations, and generate documentation.
- Present technical findings to leadership and customers.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams throughout development phases.
- Master’s degree in STEM.
- Less than 12 months of professional experience (excluding internships).
- Experience developing scripts with MATLAB or Python.
- Experience with C++ programming.
- Active Secret U.S. clearance required; ability to obtain special program access after start.
- Completed courses in Signal Processing / Image Processing (e.g., Digital Signal Processing, Radar Signal Processing); minimum 3.00 cumulative GPA.
- Professional internship, capstone, or research applying signal‑processing techniques to RF or EO/IR data.
- Experience with Azure Dev Ops, Git, and version control.
- Experience presenting analytical materials and working in an engineering lab or test facility.
- Experience generating technical documentation – trade studies, test plans, procedures, reports.
- Experience evaluating systems in simulated environments and strong communication skills.
