Job Title: Manufacturing Process Engineer

Location: Tucson, Arizona

Job Overview

Our client is seeking a Manufacturing Process Engineer to join their team. As a Manufacturing Process Engineer, you will be part of the Engineering Department supporting manufacturing operations and process improvements. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, proactive problem‑solving abilities, and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities
  • Evaluate processes and equipment to ensure safe and efficient production methods.
  • Maintain documentation of processes via process flow diagrams (PFDs) and process and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs).
  • Develop and review heat and mass balances, utility consumption, equipment and installation specifications.
  • Conduct research to develop new and improved manufacturing processes.
  • Support capital project development and implementation, including managing project budgets and coordinating project execution and startups.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent in Chemical Engineering, Engineering, or related field with relevant experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing within a food production or FDA/USDA facility.
  • Understanding of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement philosophies and principles.
  • Experience managing project quotes, budgeting, scheduling, and contractor management.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and external partners.
