Your Opportunity

Stantec is seeking a highly motivated and ambitious Roadway Engineer to work with roadway team based out of Chandler, AZ office. This position can be based in Chandler, AZ or out of our Tucson, AZ office with the expectation of occasional travel to Chandler. The position will offer the opportunity to work on small and large high-profile roadway and highway projects in the region including Colorado, Arizona, and New Mexico.

Responsibilities
  • Perform more advanced Roadway and Highway geometric design tasks, including engineering drawings, engineering reports, presentations, and applications to regulatory and/or funding agencies.
  • Model projects in Micro Station using the latest software (Open Roads).
  • Prepare construction documents and cost estimates.
  • Perform field work to collect data or observe projects under construction.
  • Attend and assist in client/contractor/stakeholder meetings to understand client goals, depending on experience.
  • Prepare engineering reports and technical studies such as design memos, feasibility studies, Concept Design Reports, Design Exception Reports, and Preliminary Engineering Reports.
Qualifications
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to create and interpret sketches, drawings, and various exhibits.
  • Proficiency in Micro Station.
  • EIT or PE Certification.
Education and Experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of Transportation experience in roadway design.
  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering with an emphasis in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • Experience with Micro Station is required.
  • Experience with Open Roads is a plus.

Pay Transparency

Pay ranges are provided where required by law. Final compensation is based on education, qualifications, experience, and location. Some roles may include bonus eligibility. Part-time roles are pro-rated.
