What You Will Do:
Raytheon is conducting search for a Tool Engineering Section Manager. In this unique managerial role, you will lead a team of Tooling Engineers responsible for the design, fabrication, and integration of production fixtures into all of our production areas. You’ll be responsible for ensuring that the Tool Engineering team is meeting the program’s design intent, budget requirements and production schedules per our customer’s requests.
This role requires a leader who can make intuitive decisions based on situational influences as needed and who will drive innovation through technology, materials and processes.
Your responsibilities will involve the coordination of resources to support Tooling requirements at all levels, including the following:
- Overseeing progress and development of significant tooling projects.
- Championing continuous process improvements that reduce design cycle time and design errors.
- Fostering a teaming environment for knowledge sharing
- Promoting a culture that the Tool Engineering team is a heavily relied upon and respected resource.
- Managing a team of Tooling Engineers and ensuring the group is in compliance with Raytheon directives and industry regulations.
This job is posted as ONSITE, and is based at Raytheon’s Tucson, ZA facility.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience.
- Leadership experience within a manufacturing environment
- CAD experience preferably with PTC products (e.g. Creo)
- Experience with GD&T and/or blueprint reading
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Previous Tool Engineering leadership experience
- Experience championing process improvements
- Knowledgeable of the requirements associated with the acquisition of Special Tooling and specifically the FAR as well as requirements associated with the Property Management requirements associated with Government owned property
- SAP/Prism knowledge and proficiency
- Experience with design for manufacturability and advanced material handling technologies
- Experience incorporating ergonomics and human factors into design
- Strong communication, interpersonal and team building skills

The salary range for this role is 132,400 USD - 251,600 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
