As a Systems Engineer – Assay Development
, you’ll be a key contributor to our R&D team
, driving requirements definition, risk management, and verification & validation across projects. You’ll design system architectures, ensure compliance with IVD standards
, and take ownership of critical deliverables—all while collaborating cross‑functionally to balance tradeoffs and drive smart decisions.

• Define and manage system requirements in a regulated environment
• Support verification & validation strategies and execution
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to align stakeholders
• Own project deliverables and guide decision‑making with thoughtful tradeoff analysis

• Requirements writing experience in a regulated industry (medical device preferred)
• Risk analysis experience (FMEA) within an engineering discipline
• Tradeoff analysis
• Verification & validation
• Proven ability to work cross‑functionally and align diverse stakeholder needs

• Assay development experience, especially with cytology specimens
• Experience with RETINA, Lucid Spark, or Lucid Chart
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required
