Summary
Seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to support the design, analysis, and testing of electronic hardware for aerospace applications. This role involves mechanical packaging, CAD design, FEA analysis, and collaboration across engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities- Mechanical design of aerospace hardware and electronic packaging
- 3D/2D CAD modeling (Solid Works preferred)
- FEA (structural/thermal) using tools like ANSYS
- Prototyping, testing, and documentation
- Support for design reviews, dFMEAs, pFMEAs, and risk management
- Technical reporting and engineering change documentation
- Lead and mentor junior engineers
- Drive process improvements and support engineering strategy
- Communicate technical information clearly across all levels
- 8+ years in mechanical engineering
- Proficient in Solid Works and FEA (ANSYS preferred)
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Knowledge of aerospace standards (DO-160, DO-178, etc.) is a plus
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
