The Senior Construction Manager represents the Owner of the project planning and overseeing the management of the design, building and commissioning process of TECfusions data center redevelopment projects from start to finish. Initial assignments may be project‑specific, with future opportunities to support additional TECfusions data center projects as development phases progress.

Their duties include overseeing the production of the design and the design coordination which will be undertaken by the Architects / Engineers and the General Contractor. They will also oversee the building process within the agreed budget, submitting on a timely basis the necessary permits to construct and communicating the client’s goals for the project to the General Contractor.

Function as main point‑of‑contact for owner and as the owners on‑site representative

Meets with, appoints, and manages contractors in relation to the scope of project.

Develop Project Budgets with TECfusions Commercial Director, monitor costs against budgets, manages change and coordinates all work to achieve project budget and profit objectives.

Provide cost information to the Commercial Director for reconciliation into the project profit and loss proforma as needed to inform development decisions for the TECfusions executive team.

Strong, working understanding of Health and Safety, Sustainability, and quality systems.

Effective and natural business‑like interpersonal skills

Analytical, Problem solving and conflict resolution bias.

Ability to resolve complicated commercial and technical issues with the designer and the contractor.

Strong electrical engineering background or equivalent hands‑on experience in mission‑critical electrical systems is required (utility power, MV/LV distribution, UPS, generators, switch gear, commissioning).

Deep working knowledge of mission‑critical electrical systems including utility interconnections, substations, MV/LV distribution, UPS, generators, switch gear, and electrical commissioning, along with data centre cooling and white space systems and construction sequencing.

Working Knowledge of design management processes

Working Knowledge of change management processes

IT literate with good verbal and written communication skills

Good communicator – Listening and discussing.

Collaborating with the various project development delivery teams, designers, and key stakeholders throughout project to resolve schedule, resourcing or financial issues or address revisions in prioritization.

Managing vendors establishing clear Scope of Work and Interface documents, overseeing daily invoicing (payables and receivables)

Lead project teams consisting of architects, design engineers, general and specialty contractors, property management, operating engineers, real estate brokers and environmental consultants.

Provide weekly project activity updates to Team Lead for Project delivery Schedule, Procurement of key equipment, design deliverables, Budget, and Risk within Project Management web‑based tools.
