The Effector RF Design Department is seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineer to serve as the RF Stack Lead for a radar program. As the RF Stack Lead, you will provide leadership and technical expertise to oversee deliverables related to RF Circuit Card Assembly (CCA) Design Verification Testing (DVT), production testing, and Electronics Stack RF development efforts. You will collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, mission-critical solutions that meet program goals and timelines.
This is an onsite role based in Tucson, AZ. What You Will Do
* Oversee all Design Verification Testing (DVT) and production testing efforts for the RF CCAs.
* Ensure compliance with technical performance standards and program requirements.
* Lead efforts on CHIRP Stack development for technical data package (TDP) releases on RF CCAs.
* Oversee and coordinate REAs (Responsible Engineering Authorities) on Stack RF development.
* Conduct weekly meetings with RF CCA REAs to ensure task alignment with the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS).
* Collaborate with the Integrated Product Team Lead (IPTL) to ensure IMS tasking and priorities are met.
* Review and analyze data for all current Stack deliveries to ensure accuracy and alignment with program objectives.
* Assist with integration activities, as required, to ensure seamless execution of Stack-related tasks. Qualifications You Must Have:
* Requires a Bachelor's in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience to include any combination of the following:
* RF circuit card design and fabrication.
* RF subassembly test and troubleshooting.
* Simulation of RF products.
* Experience with any combination of the following tools:
* Mentor DX Designer or equivalent.
* High Frequency Structure Simulator (HFSS) or equivalent.
* System Vue/Genesys or equivalent.
* Advanced Design System (ADS) or equivalent. Qualifications We Prefer:
* Advanced degree in engineering, mathematics, physics, or a related engineering discipline.
* Proficiency in preparing and reviewing technical documentation.
* Prior experience as a technical leader of RF hardware design activities.
* Responsibility for cost and schedule performance reporting.
* Background in designing for manufacturability, producibility, and cost constraints, including yield and margin analysis.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
* Ability to prepare documentation with minimal oversight
* Knowledge of mixed signal electronics and practical experience across all phases of the product development lifecycle.
* Expertise in design and testing of areas such as:
* Broadband/superheterodyne receiver design.
* Cascade analysis.
* Automatic gain control (AGC) scheduling.
* Filter design and fabrication.
* Circuit card assembly design and fabrication.
* High-speed data converter test/characterization.
* High-power RF design or test.
* Ability to analyze trade space between system needs and technical solutions.
