The Test Equipment Engineering (TEE) Effectors team within the Hardware Discipline Directorate is a multi‑discipline organization responsible for developing production and engineering test solutions for all Raytheon products. TEE products are in engineering labs, in the field, and in production environments utilized for weapon system products.

The Test Equipment Engineering (TEE) directorate is seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer who can lead a section of Electrical Engineering professionals responsible for all elements of Electrical Engineering Design through all life cycles to include but not limited to development, transition to production, design verification, qualification, and manufacturing acceptance of final product going to the customer.

What You Will Do:
  • You will supervise and lead a team of approximately 12-18 members.
  • You will establish meaningful and measurable goals and communicate effectively with your team to ensure alignment with the department and directorate.
  • You will conduct formal and informal performance reviews and career development discussions with team members.
  • You will be expected to lead by example while adhering to and ensuring alignment with our values and behaviors:

  • The Section Lead role is anticipated to be approximately 15% of the work week, with the remainder of the work week charged to program contracts, within the TEE organization. As a part of this role, you will collaborate with multi‑discipline teams in the operation, testing, and troubleshooting of systems.
  • You will provide independent health checks by evaluating program metrics.
  • You will interact with Program Managers, Chief Engineers, Cross Product Team/Directorate Leads, and other functional management to drive results to achieve program and business unit objectives.
  • You will support Test Equipment Engineering team’s hiring goals and lead the onboarding of new section personnel.
Qualifications You Must Have:
  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Experience as an IPTL, sub-IPTL, CAM, REA or a Project Team Lead.
  • Experience in a technical leadership role.
  • Experience utilizing the Test Equipment Engineering One Page Process.
Qualifications We Prefer:
  • Advanced degree in one of the aforementioned disciplines. ABET accreditation preferred.
  • Six or more years of professional electrical engineering design experience or leading electrical engineering designers through the Raytheon design process.
  • Previous experience with career development and personal skills development of team members.
  • Experience developing TE for production test environments.
  • Previous work experience developing One Page process artifacts as an electrical engineer.
