AECOM West Region seeks a highly motivated Civil Engineer for the Arizona‑Southwest Dams team. The role supports dams, mining, and surface water projects, requiring strong civil, hydrologic, and hydraulic skills to deliver water resource design, modeling, and reporting.

• Contribute to design of regional mine sites, power plants, and dams, including stockpiles and water dams.
• Generate conceptual layouts, perform calculations for channels, culverts, headwalls, and detention ponds, incorporating erosion control features.
• Perform hydrologic and hydraulic modeling using HEC‑HMS and HEC‑RAS.
• Develop quantity and cost estimates and alternative assessments.
• Prepare drafts of technical proposals, reports, regulatory permits, and internal documents.
• Design reservoir and pond systems with geosynthetic lining, leak detection, breach analysis, and spillways.
• Design erosion control structures such as concrete, riprap, articulated concrete block, fabric‑formed concrete, and baffle blocks.
• Engage on regional projects with other offices in the region.
• Build trusting working relationships with clients and colleagues.

• BA/BS in Civil Engineering + 4 years of relevant experience or equivalent.
• Valid US Driver's License.

• Professional Engineering (PE) license or ability to obtain within 1 year.
• Ability to travel.
• Experience with HEC‑HMS, HEC‑RAS 1D/2D, AutoCAD Civil3D, ArcGIS.

Offered compensation based on education, qualifications, experience, and location: $85,000 to $110,000 annually.
