About the Company / The Opportunity: Our client, a leader in the semiconductor manufacturing industry, is at the forefront of developing cutting-edge technologies. Based in Tucson, Arizona, as an Equipment Engineer, you will be instrumental in supporting and optimizing coating processes, ensuring exceptional product performance and reliability.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement upgrades to electrode coating and web converting equipment, including creating and interpreting engineering drawings using CAD software.
- Perform preventive maintenance and ensure the reliability of coating and converting equipment, as well as auxiliary systems.
- Assist in the fabrication and implementation of modifications to electrode coating and converting systems in collaboration with other engineering teams.
- Source components and materials for equipment projects and liaise with external vendors as needed.
- Analyze results, develop process improvement plans, and optimize anode performance to meet company objectives.
- Ensure alignment of web systems and maintain various types of pumps, such as oil diffusion, rotary vane, turbomolecular, syringe, and diaphragm.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the engineering and manufacturing goals.
Must-Have Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or an equivalent engineering field.
- 3+ years of experience in vacuum deposition, slot die coating, and/or web converting.
- Proficiency in interpreting chemical analyses and material characterizations.
- Strong data analysis skills, including the ability to draw conclusions and recommend improvements.
- Experience with CAD software and engineering drawings.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Ability to perform MIG/TIG welding and operate a conversational mill.
- Experience with brazing and lathe operation.
- Expertise in web system alignment and pump servicing, including oil diffusion, rotary vane, turbomolecular, syringe, and diaphragm pumps.
- Knowledge of advanced manufacturing and maintenance practices
- Hands-on experience with high-performance electrode coating systems.
Base pay range: $90,000.00/yr - $/yr
