Mission Technologies, a division of HII, is seeking a Part Time Field Engineer to support Air National Guard (ANG) F-16 Mission Tactics Trainer (MTT) simulators in Tucson, AZ. The incumbent will conduct technical analysis of simulator implementations, modifications, and enhancements in accordance with customer specifications; troubleshoot problems; determine technical solutions; coordinate hardware and software installation, integration, validation and verification; and manage document changes and physical configuration audits.

• Troubleshoots technical problems and issues.
• Determines technical solution in accordance with simulator and customer specifications and recommends actions for coordinated solutions.
• Assesses product needs in accordance with customer specifications.
• Conducts technical training and product briefing with customers, vendors, and company representatives.
• Rapidly adapts and learns the functions and operations of the F-16 MTT simulator.
• Provides support to a large and diverse customer base as a member of a complex team comprised of contractors and Government personnel.
• Assists with identification of equipment in the F-16 MTT and all aspects of simulator support.
• Prepares and executes hardware deployment and site installation plans.
• Reviews mission scope‑of‑work requirements and technical design packages.
• Coordinates with customer project managers, administrative and technical program support staff, and customers.
• Assists with updates to technical information in technical drawings and technical data packages; creates diagrams as needed for planning and documentation purposes.
• Other duties as assigned.

• 9 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree in a related field; 7 years of relevant experience with a Master’s degree in a related field; 4 years of relevant experience with a PhD or Juris Doctorate in a related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 13 years of relevant experience.
• Strong presentation/briefing skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule to support customer requirements.
• Proven ability to work both in a team and independently.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in the English language.
• U.S. Citizenship.
• Active DoD Secret Clearance with the ability to upgrade to Special Access Program / Special Access Required (SAP/SAR).

• Experience in the DoD simulator community.
• Experience supporting SAP efforts.

Work will be in a normal office environment. May be required to visit the job site in an industrial or shipboard environment. Normally not required to lift more than 40 pounds or move more than three feet above floor level.
