Smyth Industries Engineering Division is currently searching for an individual with Water Infrastructure Industry experience as a Project Coordinator to help enhance our current team. We provide full-service electrical, civil, manufacturing, engineering and general contracting services for the water and reclamation industry.

In your job, you will have the ability to make a difference in the water and reclamation industry by:

SCOPE: Under supervision, the Project Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting the engineering team throughout the construction project lifecycle for the water and reclamation industry. This position involves coordinating project activities, managing timelines, and ensuring effective communication among stakeholders to deliver high-quality engineering solutions on time and within budget. Support and adhere to the Smyth Industries Policies and Procedures, Safety Compliance, and Values.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist in planning and executing engineering projects by coordinating schedules, resources, and team efforts related to water and wastewater.
  • Maintain detailed construction project documentation, including schedules, budgets, and change orders.
  • Serve as the primary support point of contact between engineering teams, clients, and other stakeholders.
  • Facilitate meetings and project updates to ensure all parties are informed of progress and issues with construction of water/wastewater treatment and distribution systems, which may include pump/lift stations, well sites, water and sewer lines, treatment systems, and storage reservoirs.
  • Monitor resource allocation and support project teams in identifying and acquiring necessary materials to support water/wastewater projects.
  • Collaborate with procurement and supply chain teams to ensure timely delivery of project components.
  • Collect and analyze project data to identify trends, risks, and areas for improvement.
  • Prepare regular status reports and presentations for stakeholders and management.
  • Support quality control efforts by ensuring compliance with project specifications, standards, and regulations.
  • Assist in identifying potential risks and developing mitigation strategies.
  • Contribute to the development and refinement of engineering processes and practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
