The Flight Avionics Department develops guidance section electronics architectures for development programs, supports subsystem analyses, integration and test, provides program leadership as well as GPS/IMU support. We partner with several Electrical Engineering Departments that provide the detail designs of our electrical products. We are seeking entry-level candidates willing to collaborate, innovate, and team with our engineers to generate and utilize today’s cutting-edge technology to develop electrical subsystems.
** What You Will Do
*** Job responsibilities of this role vary but include activities such as troubleshooting electronics in a lab or production environment, performing system and circuit level analysis, subsystem integration and test, supporting failure investigations, maintaining and creating documentation, and interacting with multi-discipline groups including suppliers.
* Troubleshooting hardware and process issues down to CCA and component levels.
* Failure analysis / root cause determination and corrective action implementation.
* Performing analog and digital circuit analysis and characterizing and modeling electrical signals of electronics subsystems in simulation.
* Identifying and instantiating circuit card and subassembly design updates.
* Conducting integration & test at the subassembly level.
* Develop interconnect models between various subsystems.
* Generate test procedures/plans and document test results.
* Generate and present task results to small technical teams.
* Ability to work in either a team or individually.
* Potential travel to test areas for support/troubleshooting issues, less than 10%.
* Able to lift 15 lbs
** Qualifications You Must Have
*** Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) major.
* This position requires 12 months or less of relevant professional work experience (excluding internships).
** Qualifications We Prefer
*** Experience in Root-Cause Corrective Action investigations and FRACAS processes.
* Knowledge and experience with Material Review Board, Process Configuration Board, Configuration Control Board and Failure Review Board processes, proposing/defending and implementing Change Notices.
* Experience with test equipment, test automation scripting, test conduction, sensor control.
* Experience with writing and/or executing test procedures.
* Integration and test of electrical hardware/subsystems.
