Pre‑Apprentice Electronics Technician – Communication Services.
Minimum Requirements- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must possess a valid up‑to‑date driver license
- An understanding of electrical theory and college algebra
- Ability to physically bend, stoop, lift and climb, and carry tools for extended periods of time
- Ability to climb towers and structures
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Ability to work harmoniously with fellow workers and customers maintaining a positive attitude
- Ability to work in the field on an all‑day basis, overtime, holidays, weekends, inclement weather, and to travel for out‑of‑town work
- Ability to work in a manner that prevents injury
- Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks
- Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
In order to qualify for this bid, you will have to progress through three different exams. The first will be a technical test with 50 questions and a time limit of two hours. A passing score of 85% is required. The second step is the successful passing of the practical assessment, which ascertains a person’s ability to perform the work of this position.
Upon successful completion of the practical assessment, you will then move into the core competency oral interview stage.

This is an entry classification position, designed to train the employee to assume the responsibilities of an Apprentice Electronics Technician. Under close supervision by an Electronics Technician, the employee assists, acquires knowledge and experience, and progressively learns the craft.
