SUMMARY

Assists teachers in performing various classroom teaching tasks and responsibilities.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Speak, read and write in English.
• One year of experience working with youth.
• Successful completion of the TUSD Bilingual (English/Spanish) Exam.
• High School Diploma or G.E.D.
• Completion of an AZ Dept. of Education-approved Academic Assessment Test or Associate’s (or higher) degree or Two-years (60 Semester-Hour credits) of post high school general education studies.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS AFTER HIRE

• Copy of diploma, transcripts or test results must be submitted upon hire.
• FBI fingerprint background check.
• Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization.

• Citizenship, residency or work visa required.

Notes

• Positions less than 30 hours per week are not eligible for district benefits.
• Internal candidates will transfer at a rate commensurate with their bargaining unit language.

BILINGUAL TESTING INFORMATION

The Bilingual Proficiency Exam (Spanish/English) is offered once a month during the school year at one of our district locations.
