Tanque Verde High School is seeking a Media/Library Support Professional. The is a classified/support staff position. This position provides comprehensive, on-site technology and library support to students and staff on the school campus. Reporting to the Principal, this role is responsible for the efficient management, maintenance, and distribution of all district-owned technology, including student and staff Chromebooks, classroom View boards, and other devices.

Additionally, this role manages the school library, promoting reading and literacy, and integrating library resources into the curriculum. The professional serves as a primary on-campus point of contact for technical and library-related issues, ensuring a proactive, stable technology environment and a welcoming library space that allows certified teachers and librarians to focus on their core educational responsibilities. This is a full-time, benefits eligible position.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • 1-to-1 Device Management: Manage the full lifecycle of student and staff devices, including initial setup, distribution, and collection at the beginning and end of the school year.
  • Preventative Maintenance: Perform monthly or quarterly "wellness checks" on all student and staff devices to identify and fix issues before they disrupt learning.
  • Inventory and Data Management: Maintain an accurate inventory of all technology equipment and manage information systems for the circulation of technology resources.
  • Invoicing and Logistics: Perform quarterly checks on student devices and manage the process of invoicing families for damaged devices. Assist students in locating lost computers and chargers.
  • Staff Instruction (Technology): Instruct and assist staff in the use of new technology, devices, and software, and help them solve problems in the classroom.
  • Library Collection Management: Manage the library's collection of books, magazines, and other resources, including selecting and purchasing new materials that support the curriculum and interests of students and faculty.
  • Cataloging and Resource Access: Create and maintain an online catalog of library materials and resources. Assist students and faculty in finding and using materials for research and learning.
  • Library Environment: Maintain a safe and welcoming environment for the students and faculty.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • One year of relevant experience OR
  • An equivalent combination of experience and/or training approved by the District
Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, and kneel to perform tasks.
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy objects up to 50 pounds.
Pay starts at $16.00 per hour.
