Applied Behavior Analysis Campus Director (BCBA) 26/27 School Year - Tucson Campus (K-2nd and 6th-12th Grade). AZACS is growing, and we invite you to apply to be part of our award-winning team. The ABA Campus Director will work hand-in-hand with the Special Education Teachers, the Chief of Staff, and off-site consultants of ABA Programs to promote a positive school culture that focuses on implementing a best practice educational model to achieve optimal results for students. Additionally, the ABA Campus Director will support day-to-day operations of the campus in line with behavior analytic practices and best practices for students with autism.
Responsibilities
- Supervision of Lead SPED Teacher, behavior specialists
- Supervision hours for potential BCBA candidates and RBTs
- Work directly with staff to support students who exhibit challenging behaviors, which may range from mild to extreme
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the new Arizona Autism Charter Schools, Tucson Campus
- Work with staff to ensure ABA-based skill acquisition programs are implemented in the areas of academics and functional skills
- Ensure implementation of PEAK programming for students in need of Discrete Trial Teaching
- Perform functional behavior assessments (FBA) for individual students
- Align all practices to the AZACS Program Alignment Manual and monitor for fidelity
- Coach staff, implement and oversee evidence-based intervention plans to ensure fidelity
- Train staff in the implementation of interventions and programming
- Develop and ensure implementation of data collection strategies to monitor student response to intervention
- Ensure data is being reported and analyzed weekly to monitor and adjust student programming as needed
- Participate in the development of student IEPs and in IEP meetings
- Collect data and prepare a variety of reports to document assessment, interventions, and student progress
- Participate in problem-solving team meetings and tasks
- Provide supervision to RBTs, if needed
- Performs other duties as assigned

- At least 5 years of experience working with students with moderate to severe autism or related disabilities
- Minimum of three years of therapeutic intervention experience preferred
- BCBA with a track record of success implementing ABA in a school setting or other high-volume clinical setting
- Experience in structured teaching, center-based model preferred
- Valid Arizona fingerprint clearance card
- Required:

- Strong consultative and data analysis abilities
- Creative thinker who can develop a wide range of interventions meeting the needs of a diverse student population
- Master’s Degree or higher
- Master’s Degree or higher
- Active Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) required
- 1+ years of supervised BCBA work experience
- 3+ years of behavioral work (with children) experience preferred
- Knowledge and proficiency with a range of clinical approaches to care
- Strong assessment skills and treatment planning expertise
- Good analytical/critical thinking skills with the ability to record, track, and analyze progress of interventions
- Positive communication and interpersonal skills – works well with parents, children, and other professionals
