Teacher in the Tucson Unified School District advances student achievement through effective management of the learning environment, including preparing lesson plans, evaluating and monitoring student performance and progress. Our teachers provide effective and equitable instruction to students in various planned courses.
Responsibilities- Prepare lesson plans and instructional materials.
- Assess student learning and monitor progress.
- Maintain a safe, respectful classroom environment.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop instructional strategies.
- Use data to inform instruction and provide feedback.
- Arizona Early Childhood Special Education, Moderate/Severe Disabilities or Special Education e
- Arizona Mild/Moderate Disabilities, Cross-Categorical, Special Education LD or Special Education ED Certificate AND an Early Childhood Education endorsement
- Arizona Standard Professional Teaching Certificate AND a Full or Provisional Mild/Moderate or Moderate/Severe Disabilities PreK-12 endorsement
- Current Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
- Demonstrated success in engaging African American and Latino students
- Bilingual (Spanish) endorsement
Proof of immunity to measles and rubella, or proof of MMR immunization.
