Assistant/Associate/Full Professor (T/TE)
Department: Immunobiology Location: University of Arizona Health Sciences, Tucson, AZ
Overview: The Department of Immunobiology invites applicants to apply for the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor. We seek investigators whose research aligns with the department’s focus on how the immune system and/or microbes influence healthy and diseased states across the lifespan. Candidates may work in microbial biology, immunology, or interdisciplinary areas, and should utilize innovative techniques, translational elements, and incorporate cancer biology where relevant.
Academic leaders are expected to teach, mentor, and provide service.
- Establish or continue a successful, extramurally funded research program advancing knowledge in immunobiology.
- Develop and sustain productive interactions with biomedical investigators in the department, the College of Medicine–Tucson, and the University of Arizona.
- Promote interdisciplinary training by contributing to graduate (M.Sc./Ph.D.) and/or medical (M.D.) education.
- Provide institutional service within the Department of Immunobiology.
- Additional duties as assigned.
- PhD and/or MD or equivalent degree.
- Peer‑reviewed publications in nationally recognized journals and expertise in immunology, microbiology, parasitology, infectious diseases, and cancer biology.
- For associate level or above, active extramural funding.
