Position: School Psychologist
Location: Tucson, Arizona
Contract Length: 36 weeks
Weekly Compensation: Up to $65/Hr, based on experience
As a School Psychologist, you will be integral in supporting the academic, social, and emotional well‑being of students. You will work closely with teachers, parents, and administrators to assess and provide interventions for students experiencing learning, behavioral, and emotional challenges. Your role will contribute to a positive and inclusive school environment, fostering student success and well‑being.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments for students with learning and behavioral challenges.
- Provide individual and group counseling to students facing emotional, social, or behavioral difficulties.
- Develop and implement intervention strategies to address academic and behavioral needs.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to create and implement tailored intervention plans.
- Participate in the development and review of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
- Offer consultation and recommendations to support staff in managing classroom behavior and promoting positive student outcomes.
- Monitor and track student progress, adjusting strategies as needed.
- Provide crisis intervention and psychological support during emergency situations.
- Stay current with the latest trends, research, and best practices in school psychology.
- Master's or Doctoral degree in School Psychology.
- Valid Arizona State Certification or License as a School Psychologist.
- Experience working in a school setting, particularly with diverse student populations, is preferred.
- Familiarity with IEP development and implementation.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment.
