Salary: $50,249–$89,969 (Excluding additional stipends)
SummaryAn educational institution is seeking a Special Education Resource Teacher for grades 6-8, committed to fostering an inclusive learning environment. This role involves developing and implementing a curriculum that meets the individual needs of students, ensuring their academic growth and personal development.
Minimum Qualifications- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Education or a related field.
- Valid teaching certification appropriate for elementary or secondary education.
- AZ IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.
- SEI Endorsement is preferred.
- Create a positive classroom atmosphere conducive to learning and personal growth.
- Develop lesson plans and materials that cater to the diverse needs of students, aligning with curriculum standards.
- Communicate objectives clearly and effectively, facilitating both small and large group instruction using research-based strategies.
- Employ technology and innovative methods to enhance instructional delivery and student learning.
- Assess and evaluate student progress, maintaining thorough and accurate records.
- Engage with guardians to discuss student progress and participate in collaborative efforts to support student success.
- Implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) effectively, adapting teaching strategies to meet each student’s needs.
- Contribute to school-wide initiatives and professional development to maintain competence and stay current in educational practices.
- Demonstrate a commitment to positive interactions with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Exhibit reliability, punctuality, and the ability to adapt to changes.
- Approach challenges with constructive problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
- Maintain professionalism and confidentiality, serving as a positive role model for students.
- Capable of fulfilling the physical demands of teaching, including mobility, manual handling, and occasional lifting.
- May encounter various environmental conditions within the school setting and need to adapt accordingly.
