Salary: $50,249–$89,969 (Excluding additional stipends)

Summary

An educational institution is seeking a Special Education Resource Teacher for grades 6-8, committed to fostering an inclusive learning environment. This role involves developing and implementing a curriculum that meets the individual needs of students, ensuring their academic growth and personal development.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Education or a related field.
  • Valid teaching certification appropriate for elementary or secondary education.
  • AZ IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.
  • SEI Endorsement is preferred.
Core Job Functions (Responsibilities)
  • Create a positive classroom atmosphere conducive to learning and personal growth.
  • Develop lesson plans and materials that cater to the diverse needs of students, aligning with curriculum standards.
  • Communicate objectives clearly and effectively, facilitating both small and large group instruction using research-based strategies.
  • Employ technology and innovative methods to enhance instructional delivery and student learning.
  • Assess and evaluate student progress, maintaining thorough and accurate records.
  • Engage with guardians to discuss student progress and participate in collaborative efforts to support student success.
  • Implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) effectively, adapting teaching strategies to meet each student’s needs.
  • Contribute to school-wide initiatives and professional development to maintain competence and stay current in educational practices.
