Job Summary
We are hiring for a High School Special Education teacher in Tucson, AZ to join a public charter school. The school are coming into their third year of operations and are looking for licensed special education teacher for mild-moderate needs.
There is future opportunity to step up into an administrative/leadership position within Special Education if desired.
Responsibilities- Develop a varied and inclusive curriculum within state guidelines
- Teach a varied curriculum aligned with students' IEP goals
- Create an engaging, positive learning environment for students
- Implement effective classroom management techniques to maintain a productive working environment
- Incorporate a variety of teaching methods including group and individualized learning
- Monitor and evaluate students' academic and social growth, keeping accurate records and providing feedback to students, parents, and administration.
- Previous experience teaching in Special Education for grades 9-12
- Appropriate Special Education Teaching Credential - AZ
- Bachelors Degree
- Special Education Licensure for Arizona required
