Salary: $50,249–$89,969
SummaryA dedicated Special Education Teacher for grades K-5 is sought to join an educational team committed to fostering an inclusive and effective learning environment for students. This role involves developing and implementing curriculum and instructional materials tailored to meet the diverse needs of students, ensuring their academic and social development.
Minimum Qualifications- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Education or a related field.
- Valid Arizona Elementary Teaching Certificate or other appropriate certification.
- Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.
- SEI Endorsement preferred.
- Create and maintain a positive and conducive learning environment for students.
- Plan and deliver learning experiences in alignment with curriculum standards and individual student needs.
- Develop and utilize instructional materials and methods that cater to varied learning styles.
- Clearly communicate learning objectives and expectations to students.
- Conduct both small and large group instruction based on effective, research-backed strategies.
- Integrate technology to enhance educational outcomes and student engagement.
- Regularly assess and evaluate student progress, maintaining thorough records as required.
- Engage with guardians to discuss student progress and participate in educational planning.
- Collaborate with colleagues in identifying and supporting low-performing or at-risk students.
- Implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) effectively, adapting strategies to support student success.
- Ensure student safety and participate in school-wide events and professional development opportunities.
- Foster positive interactions within the school community.
- Exhibit reliability, responsibility, and punctuality.
- Demonstrate flexibility, adaptability, and openness to constructive direction.
- Utilize problem-solving skills and conflict resolution effectively.
- Maintain professionalism and confidentiality as appropriate.
- Engage in various physical activities necessary for teaching, including mobility and handling of educational materials.
- Ability to lift and move objects as needed, with accommodations provided for individuals with disabilities.
