Global Professor in Environmental Science

Location:

Northwest Agriculture and Forestry University (NWAFU) Micro‑campus, Yangling, China

Term:
One academic semester (September 1 2025 – January 20 2026)

Salary: $40,000 per year (full‑time, FTE 1.0)

Summary:

The Department of Environmental Science at the University of Arizona (UA) is seeking a Global Professor to teach the courses Environmental Essentials (ENVS 210) and Careers in Environmental Science (ENVS 195) at the UA–NWAFU micro‑campus. This role involves teaching approximately nine units of coursework to UA‑based undergraduate students.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with UA and NWAFU faculty to deliver the joint curriculum.
  • Teach approximately nine units of environmental‑science coursework per semester.
  • Participate in program development and assessment activities.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Earned a Ph.D. in Environmental Science or a closely related field by the start date.
  • Relevant experience in STEM instruction, especially environmental science or related fields.
  • Native English speaker to meet Chinese Ministry of Education requirements.
  • Ability to fulfill the UA/NWAFU memorandum of understanding and teaching specifications.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience designing, developing, and teaching quality university courses.
  • Ability to communicate in Mandarin.
  • Prior experience working abroad.
