The Project Designer supports the Construction Development team by creating and managing design plans for new-build land development projects. This role is responsible for producing detailed drawings, coordinating with architects and engineers, and ensuring that designs align with brand standards, operational needs, and regulatory requirements. The Project Designer collaborates closely with project managers, real estate managers, and internal stakeholders to bring construction concepts to life.
This position requires strong technical design skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
What You Will Do:
Design Development and Drafting:
Create site designs for new land development using CAD and design software.
Ensure design compliance with applicable codes, company standards, and operational requirements.
Contribute creative solutions to design challenges and site constraints.
Revise drawings based on feedback from internal teams, consultants, and permitting agencies.
Project Coordination:
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to align design intent with construction feasibility.
Participate in design reviews with internal teams and stakeholders.
Standards and Documentation:
Maintain and update design templates, brand standards, and construction documentation.
Support the development of design standards for new concepts and prototypes.
Organize and archive project files for future reference
Track design milestones and ensure timely delivery of design packages
Note:

Education:
Associate's Degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Drafting, or a related field, or equivalent experience (4+ years).
Experience:
Minimum of 4 years of experience in architectural or construction design.
Proficient in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, Excel, and Bluebeam.
Experience with commercial or retail projects preferred.
Familiarity with permitting processes and construction documentation.
Licenses/Certifications:
AutoCAD certification or equivalent preferred.
How You Will Shine:
Strong understanding of zoning, setbacks, easements, and other real estate related encumbrances.
Excellent attention to detail and spatial awareness.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to interpret and apply brand and operational standards to design.
Familiarity with 3D modeling or rendering software is a plus.
