What

You Will Do
  • Lead Supplier interaction and collaboration with internal cross-functional teams to manage a variety of procurements including but not limited to build-to-print, performance specifications, Supplier Statements of Work (SSOWs), with medium/high complexity.
  • Select qualified suppliers and seek alternate suppliers (when applicable).
  • Prepare, issue, evaluate, and manage Requests for Quotations/Proposals.
  • Perform price and cost analyses and lead supplier negotiations of contractual terms including price, deliveries, payments, Terms & Conditions, and supplier exceptions.
  • Prepare purchase orders (PO) and documentation in accordance with company directives, prime contract flow downs and company work instructions. Post-award management of POs to be handled in accordance with company directives and work instructions.
  • Effective management, reporting and resolution of procurement metrics.
  • Manage Suppliers to meet Program requirements with the desired quality and delivery.
  • Issue and conflict resolution of medium/high complexity in accordance with all regulatory (FAR/DFAR) and corporate compliance requirements for various subcontract types (Cost Types, Firm Fixed price, Time & Material).
  • Prepare and execute various types of agreements, such as: PIAs / MDAs., Long Term Agreements, OTs, WFPP CRADA, Bailment, etc.
  • Nurture professional business relationships with first tier subcontractors.
  • Provide comprehensive Supply Chain support for gate reviews.
  • Some travel required; up to 20%.
Qualifications You Must Have
  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s and a minimum of 8 years prior relevant experience, or an Advance Degree and a minimum of 5 years’ experience.
  • Experience with DoD procurement/subcontract compliance with Public Laws, Policies, Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR/DFAR), and ITAR and import/export requirements.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
Qualifications We Prefer
  • Demonstrated knowledge / compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR/DFARS).
  • Experience in leading formal negotiations (price, schedule, and supplier exceptions to contractual flow-down requirements, as well as standard Terms and Conditions).
  • Experience with supplier performance management.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in supply chain, business, engineering, or related field.
  • Project planning and management skills (ex: MS Project, EVMS).
  • Experience in working with procurements and major subcontractsfor programs in a fast-paced, dynamic development environment.
  • Experience with reading and understanding drawings, specifications and other engineering documents including complex Statements of Work.
  • Experience with SAP and Microsoft Office Suite of Products.
  • Experience with proposals from prospective suppliers and analyzing proposed factors including: cost/price, technical capability, and financial viability, and experience conducting due diligence to ensure supplier ability to perform within cost and schedule.
