Day in the Life of a Route Merchandiser ()

As a Retail Route Merchandiser, your mission is simple: fill up vending machines and micro-markets with mouthwatering food, irresistible snacks, and refreshing drinks. Plus, you'll have the freedom to work independently throughout the day as you service your assigned accounts. We'll even hook you up with a company box truck to make your deliveries.
Work Schedule:
Typically, you will work from 5am until the route is completed – Monday thru Friday.

- Loading up goodies like soft drinks, coffee, snacks, and fresh food for delivery to our awesome customers.
- Keeping micro‑markets and vending machines looking their best and fully stocked. Don’t forget to tally up the cash and coins.
- Guarding fresh perishable food products, ensuring they stay chilled to perfection.
- Executing plan‑o‑grams like a pro and making sure everything looks top‑notch.
- Handling minor service and adjustments for broken equipment to keep the good times rolling.
- Keeping things organized: recording transactions, managing inventory, and more, all under control.
- Messaging customers about new products and promotions, setting up eye‑catching displays, and handing out promotions like a pro.
- Listening and resolving customer concerns on‑site or through a chat with a supervisor.
- Handling a variety of tasks such as water filter changes, light bulb replacements, and more to keep the machines running smoothly.
- Maintaining your company vehicle, ensuring it stays spick and span with a checklist.
- Following all safety rules—from DOT regulations to company guidelines for safety, cash handling, and inventory control.
- Excellent communication skills: read, write, and converse with customers and coworkers with ease.
- Teamplayer culture: working together and going the extra mile.
- A passion for numbers: comfortable with basic math.
- Problem‑solving skills: tackling challenges as they arise.
- Valid driver’s license with a DOT medical physical and drug screen; comfort driving a commercial vehicle.
- Ready for an adventurous work environment: weather conditions and traveling to customer locations.
- Fitness: engaging in regular workouts to lift water, soda, candy, and snacks on and off the truck.
- Lift and carry 50lbs+ on a repetitive basis, with the ability to reach, bend, and stoop frequently.

- Consent to a pre‑employment background check and drug screen.
- Must be able to obtain a DOT medical physical card.
- Follow workplace safety policies and guidelines.
