POSITION SUMMARY
Provide senior-level functional ownership and business system analysis support for the Power Plan on-prem application and related fixed asset accounting systems and interfaces. This position is responsible for partnering with Fixed Asset Accounting, Capital Projects, Operations, Planning, Treasury, and Shared Services IT to support, configure, test, and optimize Power Plan functionality across the fixed asset lifecycle, including project and work order setup, asset retirement obligations (ARO), loan tagging, and month-end system close activities.
The role ensures system reliability, data integrity, regulatory compliance, and effective alignment between accounting requirements and system capabilities.
- Provide senior-level functional administration and support of the Power Plan on-prem application, including configuration, data integrity, security coordination, and ongoing system maintenance to support fixed asset accounting, reporting, and regulatory requirements.
- Partner with Fixed Asset Accounting, Planning, Treasury, Capital Projects and Operations to support project and work order setup and organization within Power Plan, ensuring appropriate structure for capitalization, CWIP tracking, asset additions, retirements, depreciation, ARO processing, and loan tagging, including the design and maintenance of approval workflows to support internal control requirements.
- Lead and coordinate business requirements definition, system testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), disaster recovery testing and implementation activities for Power Plan enhancements, upgrades, integrations, and new functionality in collaboration with Shared Services IT and external vendors. Integrations may include maximo, internally developed data transfer, Jedox budget system, Lawson S3 (future Infor Cloudesuite FSM), Business Objects and any additional interfaces identified.
- Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end Power Plan application close activities, including system coordination, issue resolution, and validation of system outputs used for project reporting, financial reporting and regulatory filings. This may include, but is not limited to, updating depreciation rates, adding Powerplan assigned project numbers to maximo and updating interest rates.
- Provide functional support for Power Plan Asset Retirement Obligation (ARO) module, including system configuration, testing, and ongoing support to ensure accurate tracking, reporting, and compliance with accounting and regulatory requirements. Updates typically occur at year-end; however, they can occur quarterly.
- Develop, maintain, and deliver system documentation, process flows, training materials, and approval workflow documentation; provide training and guidance to end users to ensure effective, controlled, and consistent use of Power Plan functionality.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, analyze root causes, and coordinate resolution efforts to minimize operational disruptions and enhance system reliability.
- Stay current on Power Plan functionality, industry trends, and regulatory considerations impacting fixed asset systems; recommend system or process improvements to enhance efficiency, controls, and reporting.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Information Systems, or related field.
Experience: Five (5) or more years of experience supporting enterprise financial or asset management systems, with demonstrated experience in fixed asset or project-based system environments. Preference given to Power Plan on-prem, Maximo, Lawson S3, Infor Cloudsuite and business objects experience.

Knowledge,
Skills and Abilities
(i.e., communication skills, systems knowledge, personal and professional characteristics): Strong understanding of fixed asset accounting concepts, including capitalization, depreciation, CWIP, ARO, and loan structures; experience designing or supporting system approval workflows and internal control frameworks; advanced analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to translate business requirements into system solutions; strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities;
effective collaboration skills across accounting, treasury, planning, operations, and IT teams.
Licenses, Certifications and/or Registrations: None required. Experience with Maximo or other enterprise asset management systems is beneficial for interface, integration, and cross-system support purposes.
