Lab Supervisor – Tucker, GA, Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM

Pay range: $77,200+ per year. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and certifications. Successful candidates may be eligible to receive annual performance bonus compensation.

• Oversee activities of the department, distribute/assign work, determine priorities, schedule non‑routine procedures.
• Perform supervisory functions for assigned staff including interviewing, hiring, training and providing staff development through performance evaluation and corrective counseling.
• Perform advanced/specialized tests and other related laboratory techniques; duplicate work when needed to confirm results; re‑evaluate methodology and recommend changes.
• Check/approve all specialized and problem reports for accuracy.
• Initiate quality‑control measures and monitor work quality for adherence to laboratory standards.
• Perform technologist duties as required during absences or peak workload.
• Complete special projects such as surveys, statistical reports, studies, research.
• Maintain laboratory areas and equipment in a safe, functional and sanitary condition.
• Complete training and competency checklists as appropriate.
• Adhere to CLIA, HIPAA, OSHA and laboratory safety requirements.
• Use personal protective equipment, engineering controls or work‑practice controls as directed.
• Answer questions from clients or other lab personnel.
• Participate in government or regulatory agency inspections.
• Perform other duties as assigned. This is not an exhaustive list.

• Minimum five (5) years full‑time supervisory experience
• New York State Inspection Lab Requirements
• Six years clinical experience
• MLS Certification

• At least one year as a Supervisor at Quest Diagnostics
• ASCP certification

• Lifting and carrying: 1‑10 lb frequently; 11‑25 lb occasionally; 36‑50 lb seldom; > 50 lb not without assistance.
• Ability to sit or stand for long periods.
• Requires manual dexterity for pipettes and lab instruments.

• Comprehensive theoretical and operational knowledge in designated specialty.
• Knowledge of organizational and departmental policies and procedures.
• Medical Lab Scientist Degree

• Proven leadership and problem‑solving skills.
• Detail‑oriented; able to work independently, set priorities and handle multiple tasks for maximum efficiency.
• Interpersonal and communication skills to deal courteously with employees, co‑workers and clients.
• Ability to handle client information confidentially.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Laboratory Information Systems.
