OverviewPOSITION SUMMARY
The Maintenance Worker works under the guidance and direction of the Facilities Management Director or designee. Incumbent is issued tools, supplies, and equipment as required to complete the work assignments. Employee attends department meetings and work schedules may consist of evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays; may also be subject to call‑back after hours.

Education:
High School Diploma or GED
Experience:
Must have two (2) years of general work experience in Facilities Maintenance.
License/Certification:
Must have a current, unrestricted, valid state driver’s license.

- Must be able to read and write; and have a basic understanding of electrical circuitry and equipment; plumbing and mechanical systems; HVAC and refrigeration systems.
- Must be able to recognize maintenance problems, determine basic repairs and judge the proper operation of equipment and systems.
- Completion of and above‑satisfactory scores on all job interviews, demonstrating to the satisfaction of the interviewees and TCRHCC that the applicant can perform the essential functions of the job.
- Successful completion of and positive results from all background and reference checks, including positive employment references from authorized representatives of past and current employers demonstrating to the satisfaction of TCRHCC a record of satisfactory performance and that the applicant can perform the essential functions of the job.
- Successful completion of fingerprint clearance requirements, physical examinations, and other screenings indicating that the applicant is qualified to be employed by TCRHCC and demonstrating to the satisfaction of TCRHCC that the applicant can perform the essential functions of the job.
- Submission of all required employment‑related documents, applications, resumes, references, and other required information free of false, misleading, or incomplete information, as determined by TCRHCC.
MENTAL AND PHYSICAL EFFORT
Physical: The incumbent is frequently (½ of the time at work) required to perform heavy lifting weighing up to and at times beyond 75 pounds. The position does require the prolonged (3/4 of work time) ability to lift up to 50 pounds and occasionally (less than ¼ of work time) over 100 pounds. The work normally requires extensive prolonged times of standing and the ability to maintain balance.
This position requires frequent times walking, driving, kneeling, bending, climbing, kneeling, crouching, reaching and twisting. Work is sometimes performed on ladders and/or scaffolds, which requires work overhead in stretched, cramped or awkward positions. The duties of this position require the ability to occasionally sit. This position requires the ability to push/pull up to 50 pounds continually; up to 75 pounds frequently;
