Navajo Preference Employment Act

In accordance with Navajo Nation and federal law, TCRHCC has implemented an Affirmative Action Plan pursuant to the Navajo Preference in Employment Act. POSITION SUMMARY

This position serves as a Family Nurse Practitioner that performs comprehensive diagnostic, primary health care services, physical examinations (i.e. sports physicals, employment physicals, school physicals for entrance, uranium screenings) to patients by providing a full range assessment of needs. Maintains collaboration with Director of Outpatient department, manages medical needs of patients and provides care according to treatment plan. Responsibilities also include providing continuity of care between visits according to treatment plans for patients.

Provider may be assigned to work in clinics in different locations than their main assignment based on the needs of the organization i.e. Tuba City, Sacred Peaks, LeChee, Mobile Van, Bodaway Gap etc. This position is a grant funded position.

Education:

Master of Science in Nursing or Doctor of Nursing Practice

Licensure/Certification:

• Must possess a valid, current, full and unrestricted license to practice as a nurse practitioner in any state within the United States, District of Columbia, or the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico
• Must possess a certificate from the American Association of Nurse Practitioners

Experience:

• Two (2) years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner evaluating and treating patients
• Basic computer skills used in performance of duties are essential

Credentialing:

Must be credentialed and privileged to serve on the TCRHCC Medical Staff

• Successful completion of fingerprint clearance requirements, physical examinations, and other screenings indicating that the applicant is qualified to be employed by TCRHCC and demonstrating to the satisfaction of TCRHCC that the applicant can perform the essential functions of the job
