The Obstetric Clinical Nurse performs a variety of nursing care procedures requiring professional knowledge and consideration of specific patient conditions and treatments. This role involves assisting physicians and midwives during examinations and procedures, as well as providing comprehensive, family-centered nursing care to mothers and babies during the antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum periods.

• Provide nursing care in accordance with physician’s orders and nursing policies and procedures.
• Support individuals of all ages and their families, addressing their specific needs.
• Assist during examinations and medical procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort.

• A minimum of 2 years of OB nursing experience in antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, nursery, and Labor and Delivery.
• Current, valid, and unrestricted Professional Nursing License.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification from the American Heart Association.
• AWHONN Intermediate EFM Certification required within six months of hire.
• AWHONN Advanced EFM Certification required within six months of hire.
• National Institutes of Health (NIH) NIH Stroke Scale required within six months of hire.
• STABLE Certification within one year of hire.
• Advanced Life Support in Obstetrics (ALSO) certification within one year of hire.
