Licensure

Certifications
Must maintain the following certifications throughout employment:

• Basic Life Support (BLS), American Heart Association
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), American Heart Association

The following must be completed within the specified time frames:

• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), American Heart Association, within 6 months of hire
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS), within 6 months of hire
• Certified Perioperative Nurse (CNOR), Competency and Credentialing Institute, within 1 year of hire
• Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC), within 2 years of hire

Education

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing and/or operating room experience required
