Job TitleDriver – Millworks
PayStarting at $24.83 to $28.85 per hour, depending on experience.
ScheduleMonday–Friday 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, or until all loads for the day have been delivered.

Job OverviewAt PARR, drivers are essential to fulfilling customer needs by ensuring orders are delivered on time and in great condition. The ideal driver maintains safety regulations and goes above and beyond customer service. Depending on location, the Millworks Driver reports directly to a General Manager, Production Manager, Ops Lead, or Shop Foreman and interacts daily with customers, dispatchers, receivers, and load-builders.
Qualifications- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Class C driver’s license
- 21 years old or older
- Ability to speak, write, and read English
- Current DOT Medical Card
- Acceptable driving record
- Knowledge of vehicle safety audits and reporting of any malfunctioning equipment as required by federal and state regulations and company policy
- Open and transparent communication
- Familiarity with GPS devices or map applications
- Driving experience within a 50‑mile radius of primary location preferred
- Safely and efficiently load and unload building materials from a commercial motor vehicle.
- Legally, safely, and efficiently travel to destinations via public and private roads.
- Complete mileage and fuel usage reports.
- Demonstrate commitment to on‑time and in‑full deliveries.
- Follow delivery procedures by taking photos of delivered shipments after each delivery.
- Perform daily pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections of all equipment.
- Establish and maintain professional relationships with customers, contractors, and vendors.
- Perform required safety audits of vehicle (daily safety audits, weekly brake inspections) and promptly report any malfunctioning equipment.
- Promptly report all accidents/incidents.
- Annually update driver qualification files.
- Maintain yard, warehouse, and vehicle cleanliness during work.
- Find productive tasks during downtime.
- Keep truck supplied, organized, and clean.
- Arrive in professional attire.
- Check load accuracy.
- Proactively manage job site conditions for next delivery and communicate with others.
- Always provide required paperwork and scanning for dispatch.
- Learn about products and their applications for end users.
- Follow established best practices.
- Learn from mistakes and accept coaching as opportunities.
- Demonstrate knowledge of tie‑down rules and regulations.
- Understand weight, height, and length limits.
- Ensure transported material has an invoice or Material Returns Form.
- Continue to participate in available training.
- Apply efficient loading, strapping, and driving best practices.
- Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds and carry objects up to 50 feet.
- Ability to work in an office environment.
- Ability to travel occasionally.
