Quality Engineer – Incoming Inspection
Location: Onsite / Manufacturing Facility
Employment Type: Full-Time / Contract (as applicable) - Tualatin, OR

Job SummaryWe are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Engineer to support incoming inspection operations within a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for ensuring all incoming materials and components meet established quality standards and specifications, while partnering with suppliers and internal teams to resolve quality issues and drive continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct inspections of incoming materials and components to verify compliance with quality standards and engineering specifications.
- Maintain accurate inspection records, including nonconformance reports and corrective action documentation.
- Collaborate with suppliers and cross-functional teams to investigate and resolve quality concerns.
- Develop and implement procedures and guidelines for incoming inspection processes.
- Analyze inspection data and trends to identify risks, improvement opportunities, and support decision-making.
- Provide training and guidance to team members on inspection methods, quality standards, and best practices.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.
- Support internal and external audits related to incoming inspection and quality systems.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Assurance, or a related field.
- 3+ years of quality engineering experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably focused on incoming inspection.
- Strong knowledge of quality control methodologies and tools (Six Sigma, ISO standards, etc.).
- Experience using precision measurement equipment such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and quality management systems.
- Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or similar certification.
- Experience with Statistical Process Control (SPC) and quality improvement techniques.
- Familiarity with industry standards related to electrical or mechanical components.
