What we are looking for:
The Entry-Level Quality Control Associate supports the company's quality assurance program by inspecting materials, in-process production, and finished goods to ensure compliance with internal standards, customer specifications, and regulatory requirements. This role plays a key part in preventing defects, supporting continuous improvement, and maintaining a safe, compliant manufacturing environment.
What you will do:
- Perform visual and basic dimensional inspections of materials and finished products to confirm specifications and industry standards are met
- Observe manufacturing processes and work with production staff to ensure adherence to established protocols and standards
- Work with production staff and other departments to implement quality control procedures and resolve quality issues
- Verify that processes and products comply with industry standards, regulations (such as ISO), and internal Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Identify defects, communicate the results of inspections and report quality concerns to supervisors
- Maintain records of all quality control activities, ensuring they are accurate and follow good documentation practices.
- Approve incoming materials by confirming specifications, conducting a visual and measurement test, and rejecting and returning unacceptable materials
- Approve all finished products by confirming specifications and conducting required tests
- Return products for re-work if needed and complete documentation to confirm re-work
- Sort and segregate defective material for return, replacement, or disposal (scrap)
- Keep measuring equipment by following operating instructions and calling for repairs and/or calibration
- Maintain a safe work environment by following standards/procedures and comply with legal regulations
- Complete required training and certifications
- Performs other duties as assigned
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1+ year experience in manufacturing, production, or quality inspection preferred
- Ability to read and interpret specifications, drawings, work instructions and measuring tools
- Basic math and measurement skills
- Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
- Computer literacy, including proficiency in MS Office
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Understanding of manufacturing methods and procedures
- Forklift Certification is a plus
