Controller, Finance & Banking, Accounting Manager

Controller

We are seeking an experienced Controller to lead our accounting operations and play a key role in strengthening the financial health and long‑term success of our company. This position oversees all financial reporting, job costing, cash flow management, and compliance functions.

As our Controller, you will:

• Oversee the accounting department and develop structures that support department goals.
• Manage all financial operations, including job costing, progress billing, WIP schedules, and cash flow monitoring.
• Partner with project managers to track costs, billing schedules, and change orders.
• Ensure timely, accurate financial statements—delivered by the 10th workday each month.
• Lead payroll processing, AP/AR, bank reconciliations, and compliance reporting.
• Maintain GAAP-compliant revenue recognition and accounting controls.
• Prepare budgets, forecasts, financial analysis, and key operating metrics.
• Support HR-related functions such as payroll coordination and onboarding.
• Work with auditors, tax advisors, and external partners as needed.

You will directly supervise 1–2 accounting team members, including hiring, training, performance management, and workflow oversight.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
• 5–10 years of relevant accounting or financial leadership experience.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, budgeting, analytics, and compliance.
• High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to meet deadlines.
• Experience in job cost accounting a strong plus.

This role is primarily office‑based with regular computer and phone use and minimal physical demands. No travel required.
