Mechanical Engineer – Contract Role (Onsite in Tualatin, OR)

Employment Type: W-2 Contract

Duration: 4+ months (with potential for long-term extension)

Work Schedule: 100% onsite, Monday–Friday

Pay Range: $45.00–$59.00 per hour (based on experience and market location)

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our engineering team for a critical project. This role focuses on CAD design and release
, supporting new product development initiatives. You will work on mechanical systems, packaging, and unique designs involving machined and welded plastic parts.

• Create and release detailed CAD drawings (NX preferred)
• Develop and structure Bills of Material (BOM)
• Design and analyze mechanical systems and packaging
• Conduct feasibility studies and testing on new and modified designs
• Prepare technical presentations, drawings, and models for design reviews
• Ensure documentation compliance with industry standards (SEMI, ANSI, DIN)
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and suppliers to meet performance and cost objectives

• Experience: Minimum 6 years with a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Proficient in CAD design (NX strongly preferred)
• Strong design background and general engineering skills
• Knowledge of sheet metal design basics
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and time management skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with aggressive deadlines
