Critical Care Registered Nurse | Trussville, Alabama

Deliver critical care nursing expertise in a dynamic Intensive Care Unit setting specializing in Medical, Neuro, and Surgical patients. This position requires an experienced RN who thrives in high-acuity environments and is proficient in managing complex patient cases using advanced ICU equipment such as ventilators, arterial lines, and central venous lines. Key Qualifications and

Experience:

• Current RN licensure and at least 2 years ICU nursing experience
• Certifications:
  
  ACLS and BLS required
• Proficient in ICU patient management and use of critical care equipment
• Familiarity with Neuro ICU patient care is highly preferred
• Comfortable with 1:1 to 1:3 patient ratios in a 12-bed unit
• Ability to float as needed within the facility
• Demonstrated teamwork under fast-paced critical care conditions

Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct patient care during the evening to early morning shift (1830 - 0700)
• Monitor and manage critically ill neuro and medical-surgical patients
• Utilize Cerner EMR system for accurate documentation and communication
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes
• Adhere to unit protocols including wearing mandatory navy scrubs
