Job Summary
This is a permanent post, working 37.5 hours per week within the Stroke and Neurology team, rotating across Marie Therese House (Neuro rehab unit in Hayle), Tintagel Neurology ward and the Acute stroke unit. Flexible 7‑day working covers weekend rota and evening on‑call respiratory duties.

Key Responsibilities- Provide high‑standard physiotherapy service to patients.
- Specialist neurological assessment, treatment and goal setting for patients with conditions such as spinal injuries, TBI, Guillain‑Barré, Parkinson's disease, and stroke.
- Determine clinical diagnosis and provide physiotherapy treatment.
- Maintain accurate records as an autonomous practitioner.
- Develop specialist skills under guidance of Team Leads.
- Provide clinical cross‑cover and attend clinical meetings as directed.
- Degree in Physiotherapy or equivalent.
- Health Care Professions Council registration.
- Acute hospital experience including stroke and neurology.
- Experience working in multidisciplinary teams and with unqualified staff.
- Experience of on‑call and out‑of‑hours work, including lone‑working risks.
- Experience supporting physiotherapy students or acting as a clinical educator.
- Interest in stroke acute rehabilitation.
- Membership of CSP or relevant special interest group.
- Understanding of opportunities/limitations in Cornwall.
- Experience in trauma & orthopaedics, medical, respiratory and musculoskeletal areas.
- Recent neuro‑based study experience.
- Up‑to‑date specialist neurological assessment and treatment skills.
- Well‑developed communication and multidisciplinary team collaboration.
- Reflective practitioner and evidence of clinical audit/research activity.
- Presentation skills and willingness to participate in weekend/on‑call rota.
Band 6: £38,682 – £46,580 per year (pro‑rata). Permanent, full‑time, 37.5 hours per week.
