Job Title:
Research Healthcare Assistant (Rapid Response & Education) – Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
An exciting opportunity to join the Research and Development Team as a Research Healthcare Assistant. This essential role supports research patients through their health journey at RCHT in various specialties. You will support research teams and nurses with patient observations; clinical skills are essential. We are looking for a caring, supportive person who loves helping others and can bring a positive attitude and friendly manner to work every day.
Mainduties
- Demonstrate strong teamwork and communicate well with colleagues and patients.
- Be open to ideas for improving services while maintaining quality and treating patients and teammates with respect and dignity.
- Receive training to complete the Care Certificate and develop required skills (aside from personality and helpfulness).

Essential Qualifications & Experience- GCSE Maths & English, or equivalent
- NVQ 2 in Health Care, or equivalent
- Clinical skills (e.g., venepuncture, blood transfusion, aseptic technique)
- Previous care setting experience
- Previous hospital experience
- Experience using databases including data extraction and accurate input
- Experience of working in a research environment
- Experience of working to Good Clinical Practice (GCP) regulations
- Computer literate
- Competent in English (written and verbal)
- Team player
- Ability to prioritise workload
- Ability to respond to urgent requests with tact
