Shift Detail:
Monday to Friday 8:00 am to 3:45 pm

For over 60 years, St. Vincent’s Special Needs Services (SVSNS) has been a trusted provider of specialized services for children and adults with multiple developmental disabilities and complex medical needs. Each year, more than 400 children, adults and their families receive services from the organization.

Job Summary:

Assists with managing daily activities of the assigned class.

• Assists with implementing a developmentally appropriate curriculum and evaluating children.
• Interacts with children and parents appropriately, providing carryover of therapeutic programs as needed.
• Maintains a safe and secure environment for the students, following all related policies and procedures.
• Cleans and records activities.
• Encourages student independence in communication, decision making and other activities.
• Implements activities that are consistent with student interests.
• Displays enthusiasm and appropriate energy level to maintain student motivation, cooperation, and participation.
• Participates in arrival and dismissal practices.

Education:

HS Diploma or equivalent.

Work Experience:

2 years experience with persons with disabilities preferred.
