Position Overview

ASC is seeking enthusiastic and committed

Nordic Coachto join our growing team. Nordic Coaches support athlete development across a range of ages and abilities—from young first-time skiers to competitive junior athletes. The ideal candidate is a positive role model, an effective communicator, and passionate about sharing the joy of Nordic skiing.

• Lead safe, engaging on-snow and dryland training sessions based on ASC athlete development plan.
• We are looking to fill a Lead coach position on Tuesday/Wednesday from 3:00-4:30 and Saturday from 9AM- 11:00.
• Support athlete development in classic and skate techniques
• Create a welcoming and inclusive training environment for all skill levels
• Assist with event preparation, race support, and on-site operations
• Communicate effectively with athletes, parents, and program leadership
• Model ASC values of community, integrity, safety, and inclusivity
• Uphold all ASC policies, risk-management practices, and Safe Sport guidelines

Required:

• Strong Nordic skiing skills (classic & skate)
• Experience working with youth or coaching athletes
• Positive attitude and interest in athlete-centered coaching
• Ability to work weekends and select holiday periods
• Ability to work outdoors in winter weather conditions

Preferred:

• US Ski & Snowboard coaching certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Experience with competitive Nordic skiing and race/event support
• First Aid/CPR certification
• Background in endurance sport training principles
