Job Summary

The Bakery Team Member at Save Mart is responsible for preparing, baking, packaging, and merchandising fresh bakery items while delivering friendly customer service. This role supports daily bakery operations and ensures high-quality products, food safety, and an inviting bakery department for customers.

• Prepare, bake, decorate, and package bakery items according to company recipes and standards
• Assist customers with bakery orders and product questions
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of bakery work areas and display cases
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and health department guidelines
• Monitor product freshness, rotate stock, and label items accurately
• Operate bakery equipment such as ovens, mixers, and slicers safely
• Assist with inventory, stocking supplies, and merchandising displays
• Work collaboratively with bakery and store team members

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Previous bakery, food service, or retail experience is a plus (training provided)
• Basic math and time-management skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and stand for extended periods

• Monday-Friday, 9am-7pm
• Seasonal opportunity that runs through Spring 2026
