The Public Health Department promotes the health of the entire community through varied programs ranging from reproductive health care and coordination of the response to health emergencies to individual case management to primary prevention of disease and wellness promotion. We are currently seeking one Public Health Nurse to be an integral part of our Truckee Clinical Services Team.
Duties will include:
- Screening adolescent and adult clients for reproductive healthcare services. Taking health histories and exploring family planning options.
- Educating and empowering individuals from high-risk populations and underserved communities.
- Coordinate outreach, referrals, and systems of care for high-risk perinatal families in Nevada County.
- Providing vaccine information and immunizations.
- Maintaining and ordering medical supply inventory.
- Reviewing lab results and providing appropriate follow-up.
- Services are provided to English and Spanish speaking patients.
- Senior level position will include staff supervision duties.
