Rate of Pay: $145,683 annually + DOE
SummaryProvides leadership and strategic direction to improve key organizational processes and systems. Coordinates cross-functional process improvement activities and trains and coaches staff across the organization in the effective use of process improvement tools. Identifies, shares, and implements best practices and innovations. Provides administrative oversight of process improvement functions and guides the development of benchmarks and performance metrics.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Design System-Wide Process Improvement Program
- Develops system-wide LEAN process improvement training program to ensure all key personnel have appropriate level of knowledge and proficiency in process improvement.
- Creates system-wide tracking mechanism for process improvement projects
- Develops system-wide communication mechanisms for sharing process improvement work with others
- Develops mechanisms for appropriate evaluation of proposed process improvement projects.
- Serves as change agent in institutionalizing Lean concepts and methodology throughout the organization
- Responsible for overall program design and continued evaluation and persistent adaptation of program as needed to reflect changes in organizations strategic plan and direction
- Works with organizational leadership and executive staff to coordinate and assess the effectiveness of Rapid Improvement Events (RIE) schedule
- Identifies critical areas and value streams for improvement
- Develops a strategy to attain future state goals assuring responsibility for event follow through and sustainability.
- Integrate High Reliability principles across the Health System to foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement, aligning processes with organizational goals and regulatory standards
- Manages and coordinates the daily activities of improvement activities
- Prepares necessary and required reports to management and Board of Directors.
- Provides onboarding, orientation, training and competency assurance of Facilitators.
- Continual Prioritization of Lean events and activities
- Creates and documents an annual Process & Systems Improvement (Lean Healthcare) plan.

- Establish standard reporting routines
- Audit progress using Lean tools (i.e. A3’s, PDSA’s, etc)
- Oversees the development and certification of internal Lean facilitators and instructors.
- Assists management and develops method to determine and track financial and quality indicator impact of improvement activities.
- Serves as a facilitator, trainer, and advisor to all departments and organizations throughout company on all Lean Healthcare-related activities. May also include participating in and/or leading improvement activities with corporate office, customers, vendors and suppliers.
- Develops Lean training materials and will serve as primary training source for all Lean related activities.
- Oversees and communicates customer/employee satisfaction tie in with process/systems improvement activities.
- Ensures that all levels of the organization are aware of available tools and successes in relation to lean healthcare initiatives.
- Participate with marketing and HR departments in communicating information and successes to the marketplace.
- Works closely with the Quality & Regulation Department in the associated development and reporting of measurements and quality data.
- Ensures the "patient voice" is heard and represented in all process improvement efforts.
