What You Will Do
- Implement and administer a preventative maintenance program for all equipment. Ensure that PM activity is completed per schedule.
- Ensure effective and timely resolution of all unplanned maintenance activity to minimize downtime.
- Support production schedules from a maintenance perspective to achieve site objectives.
- As a supervisor, act as a change agent. Use CORE, Lean, Flow, Kaizens, and continuous improvement methods to drive execution within your areas of responsibility.
- Project Management
- Ensure compliance by all reporting personnel to policies, procedures, and quality requirements of this facility.
- Integrate equipment support and PM activities between shifts and manufacturing areas.
- Identify and fulfill training needs of reporting personnel.
- Manage Preventative Maintenance Programs and prioritize un-planned maintenance to support plant measurement goals, including MTF and OEH.
- Track time, vacation, and attendance for reporting personnel; approve employee time in company systems.
- Foster employee development through directed training, performance feedback, and career counseling.
- Ensure compliance with company work rules, safe work practices, and procedures to protect the environment; report unsafe acts or hazardous conditions.
- Complete audits and tasks for EHS on or ahead of schedule. Perform other duties as assigned by the Operations Manager or future Manager delegate.
- Must be flexible and available to assist all work shift schedules.
- Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience
- 4 or more years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably aerospace
- 3 or more years of experience in Operations related Management roles (hands on supervision)
- Expert knowledge and experience with maintenance programs, including design and implementation of preventive maintenance plans and closure of trouble calls; effective use of vendors and subcontracted resources as needed
- Personnel management and leadership experience
- Proven ability to mentor, coach, develop talent, and motivate teams to achieve goals
- Experience with shop practices, processes, procedures, and machinery
- Ability to read and interpret technical data, blueprints, and engineering drawings
- Organizational and project management skills; PMP certification preferred
- Track record of problem solving in a fast-paced environment
- Understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement tools
- Experience with Solumina MES, Teamcenter, SAP ERP, and MS Office
- Ability to communicate at all levels, including senior management
