Patient Care Tech - One

Shift: 7:00pm-7:30am Full Time Nights, 36 hours a week, 72 hours per pay period

Position:
Patient Care Technician (PCT). They collaborate with nurses and doctors to provide personalized care for patients and support the hospital team in delivering safe, efficient care.

• Check vital signs, such as temperature, heartbeat, and breathing.
• Assist patients with mobility, dressing, and feeding (ADLs).
• Report any changes in a patient’s condition to a nurse.
• Collect samples as needed (e.g., urine).
• Support with paperwork and unit operations under nurse supervision as needed.

Education:

You’ll need a high school diploma or GED.

Training:
You’ll need to obtain a BLS CPR certificate. If you don’t already have it, orientation will include CPR training.

Experience:

No previous job experience is required, but one of the following is preferred:

• Finished STNA, CNA, or Patient Care Technician/Assistant training.
• Past care for patients (e.g., taking vitals, bathing, or assistance with toileting) within the last 5 years.
• Currently in nursing school with one clinical rotation completed.

• Ability to multitask while maintaining a courteous, patient-focused approach.
• Proficiency with computers.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Good communication and listening abilities.
• Bonus: prior hospital experience.
