In this role, you will assist the pharmacy team to ensure that pharmacy operations run smoothly, prescriptions are filled promptly, safely and accurately, and we are providing caring service that exceeds patient expectations.
Responsibilities- Live our purpose by following all company SOPs at each workstation to help our pharmacists manage and improve patient health.
- Follow pharmacy workflow procedures at each workstation (production, pick‑up, drive‑thru, drop‑off) for safe and accurate prescription fulfillment.
- Contribute to positive patient experiences by showing empathy and genuine care: creating heartfelt and personalized moments while serving patients in person, over the phone, and at the register; offering immunizations and other services; and demonstrating compassionate care by solving or escalating patient problems.
- Complete basic inventory activities, such as accurately putting away medication deliveries, cycle counts, returns‑to‑stocks, and waiting bin inventories.
- Contribute to a high‑performing team, embrace a growth mindset, and be receptive to feedback; actively seek opportunities to expand clinical and technical knowledge to better assist patients.
- Remain flexible for scheduling and business needs, contributing to a safe, inclusive, and engaging team dynamic; voluntarily travel to stores in the market to work shifts as needed.
- Understand and comply with all federal, state and local laws, regulations, professional standards and ethical principles; comply with CVS policies and procedures to ensure patient safety, controlled substance dispensing, record‑keeping and privacy protection.
- Deliver additional patient health care services (e.g., immunizations, point‑of‑care testing, and voluntarily staffing offsite clinics) where allowable by law and supported by the required training and certification.
- Complete additional licensure and training to obtain Technician Immunizer status for vaccine preparation and administration.
- Educate patients about the importance of vaccines and refer them to the pharmacist on duty for vaccination questions.
- Monitor and respond to adverse reactions; report adverse reaction events per public health requirements.
- Review and collect patient information; track and document for each applicable patient.
- Monitor and manage vaccine supplies.
- Comply with any state board of pharmacy requirements or laws governing the practice of pharmacy, which includes but is not limited to age, education, and licensure/certification.

- Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends.
- Ability to complete required training within the designated timeframe.
- Attention and Focus:
- Concentrate on a task over time.
- Pivot quickly from one task to another to meet patient and business needs.
- Confirm prescription information and label accuracy to ensure patient safety.
- Customer Service and Team Orientation:
- Actively help people in a friendly manner.
- Notice and understand patients’ reactions and respond appropriately.

Skills:- Use and understand verbal and written communication to interact with patients and colleagues.
- Utilize active listening by giving full attention to what others are saying and asking appropriate questions.
- Mathematical Reasoning:
- Use math to determine total tablets, day’s supply, and the number of full and partial bottles needed to fill a prescription.
- Problem Resolution:
- Identify challenging patient or colleague interactions and choose the best course of action.
- Physical Demands:
- Be mobile and remain upright for extended periods.
- Lift, scan, and bag items; reach overhead; text consistently.
